AKD Netural Size is widely used as an internal sizing agent in paper manufacturing industry and is added to the pulp during processing. Alkyl Ketene Dimer is an organic compound which belongs to the 4-membered ring system of 2-oxetanone. It ensures optimum strength and high water resistance before surface sizing application. AKD Netural Size also helps in reducing the curing time, production cost, and enhancing printing surface strength. It is known to produce fewer amounts of bubbles during processing due to its great mechanical stability.
