PolyDadmac (PD LS 20LV) is utilized in ETPs for wastewater treatment as an organic coagulant that has the ability to neutralize negatively charged colloidal substances. It also finds its utilization in paper manufacturing industry for controlling materials that can hinder the processing. This compound is formulated by radical polymerization of DADMAC which is produced by the reaction of allyl chloride & dimethylamine. PolyDadmac (PD LS 20LV) has the capability to remove some natural organic matters including fulvic & humic acids.
