It is a disinfecting agent that is used for sterilizing surgical instruments and also to treat warts on the bottom of foot. This compound is known to have chemical formula C5H8O2 with molar mass of 100.117 g/mol. It is prepared as 50% solution by dissolving in water and is also acts as cross-linking agent for gelatin and polyvinyl alcohol. Glutaraldehyde 50 Percent is highly appreciated for having the ability to kill bacterial spores.
